Website Update and Progress Report
Hello Everyone!
I know it's been a while since there was any update on the game, so I thought I'd drop in with a few updates.
Firstly, you may have noticed a few changes to the website. The game now has some early cover art, which is the thumbnail for this blog post and the image on the homepage. I've made a few more bug fixes and general improvements, but the main event is the new game info page. I have spent way too long developing an in-depth development page for my game, including information on development progress, a plot synopsis, and eventually, when I get some people's permission, a credits section to shout out the small group of people who have helped or are helping me on various parts of this project. Please note, the page is a bit resource-intensive, so it might take 10-20 seconds to load. I'm working on fixing this.
As for the game itself, progress has unfortunately been delayed. Why? My PC is way too slow to run Unreal Engine at any reasonable speed. I am currently working towards a decent gaming PC, but anyone who knows anything about that market at the moment knows that will be a while.
Progress on the game has not completely stopped, though. The live-action opening sequence is fully written, storyboarded, and planned, and the first section of the game is very nearly out of the writing and planning phase. As you can see on the game page, I have put Concepts and Writing at 90%, as all I have left to do is figure out some casting logistics. Hopefully within the next few weeks you'll see it update to the opening cutscene.
Speaking of the opening sequence, I think this is the first time I've mentioned anywhere that it will be live action. This is a massive undertaking, and has required months of scripting, storyboarding, and organisation, but the actual filming is on the horizon now.
TL/DR: I'm not dead, game a little delayed, new website page
